Smart Spending: How to Arrange Flowers Within the Small Spaces of Nolie Montgomery's Tiny Home
We would love to take this moment to introduce you to our newest friend, Nolie Montgomery. Not only is she an incredible interior decorator and DIY queen, but she lives in an RV with her husband and travels around the country, living life to the fullest! They started their RV renovations earlier this year by tackling the bathroom, which turned out incredibly, and are documenting the rest of their journey on Nolie's Instagram. As Nolie decorates their tiny home, she is intentional about what she buys. Is it multifunctional? How much space will it take up? Does it make a mess? With a small space, she has to be innovative in her spending. One thing Nolie loves to always have in her home is an arrangement of flowers. So, we saw the opportunity to partner with her as we launched our new faux floral stem line! Keep scrolling to see how she optimized and beautified our purple faux sedum stems.
Nolie added a few natural white with pink tip hydrangea stems to add diversity in texture, size, and color to the purple sedum stems. She paired them beautifully, accentuating both colors, bringing together the modern farmhouse and country cottage aesthetic she has in her tiny home. She chose the perfect flowers to arrange in a vase! The purple color of the faux sedums brought out the dark tips of the white hydrangeas, beautifully complementing and bringing out the best in each other. Fun fact: our faux sedum stems also come in white!
In her tutorial video, Nolie gave us a tip to make our faux flower arrangements look more realistic: add water to the vase. How genius! Not only does it provide the faux arrangement movement, but it adds another life-like element, making it even more natural looking. And don't worry about the water damaging the stems; they're made to withstand the elements!
If there's anyone who knows how to decorate a tiny home RV, it's Nolie! The white brick backsplash, red and white plaid towel, classically shaped vase, and purple sedum flower stems, all give the small space a large home feel. Whoever said living in a tiny home wouldn't be practical?! It looks pretty reasonable to us, on top of elegant, fresh, and dreamlike. We can't wait to see how the rest of Nolie's renovations to her home turns out! Follow along on their progress and exciting travels in the RV via Nolie's Instagram.
